Hi is it possible to edit a m3u to remove channels and groups and up load it onto smart iptv app but have it that it will still add new channels like PPV and The footie links on a saturday, from the provider

No, as if you upload a file that edited it wont be live and you will only ever see what you uploaded on that file and will get no updates from it you would need to do it manually each time, best way is get m3u url link from someone that has xtream editor panel and they will provide a link for you to edit your list that way you continue to have control and will get updates live channels VOD etc..
