new official firmware released for f5s fixed!!!!!! result!!!

Still not working

Well tried ours again last night and still not working, coming up with the same error notice as before, any ideas why? So frustrating not having a clue as to what is on without having to fire up the laptop.

download relevant zip file unzip it to a memory stick plug stick into your box into your box
instructions are on youtube and on the net how to upgrade ,hope this helps

My EPG appears to be working now.


Heres what you do.

Download the latest firmware update for the F5s from skybox.cc
Unzip it.
Place it on a usb stick
take out usb and place in skybox
hit menu then update by usb
select latest file F3 F5S 150519.abs
make sure Keeping DBS and Setting is set to yes.
Then click start and when box reboots update your EPG settings.

going back to the old 'sat' epg :( the xmltv one is an hour out and the clock is always wrong about 10 mins slow so useless for recording

Sorry me again, as you may have gathered i am not very clued up on theses things, so sorry for the stupid questions. I have downloaded [h=2]F3S F5S 150519 Fixed bug: xmltv download.[/h]onto my usb stick, then followed the steps as you said above and it ended with saying " upgrade none" have i downloaded the wrong thing?

nope you were on the right track but when you get to upgrade by usb stick and you see your .abs file F3 F5S 150519.abs
on the screen you have to select it ,i think its its the yellow key to select it then hit start ,hope this helps

If the file is a zip file you use a program like Winrar/Winzip to open the file then extract file to a format 32 USB Then load

did not show up on the tv it just says misc files,

If you press right on Misc files should change to image abs
