Evening all, have recently changed iptv providers and done epg update via epgimporter in the usual manner but I’m only pulling in around 70,000 events and missing tons of epg data.
I have all the usual uk rytec boxes ticked but for some reason it’s just won’t populate. I’m using a zgemma h2s and as a dedicated iptv only box so no sat cable feeds at all. Any help would be massively appreciated as I’m pulling my flipping hair out here!!! Cheers all
 
Your provider should be able to tell you which sources you need to tick. Mine has their own source for example. Have you asked them what to use?
 
Oh, sorry, I thought you said it was a new provider.

Have you checked with them to make sure their source isn't down? Have you changed anything recently on the box?
 
Yeah been in touch with them and they said to update my rytec sources but I have no option to do that. Basically it’s meant to be (on ipab) red 4 green but that pulls up the iptv provider area on ipab whereby you enter your user and password. So I’m stuck really. Not changed a thing, my old subby expired whilst I was away, came home purchased new one and now all I’m getting is fta channel epg data no discovery etc.
Is there any other way to add epg data to these boxes? Ie via a putty scrip or is it all on my provider?

To be honest, I really don't know. I use epg importer for my iptv and that's all I have ever used. Not sure about a script etc, but I wouldn't think so.

Maybe try removing epg importer and re install, it may update the sources or something. I don't use IPAB either.......didnt like it.

I'm sure someone else will be along soon who can advise further, sorry.
 
Ok cool, can you pm me your provider. If they’re decent may give them a go as not having a full epg does my ocd no good lol! Cheers again, and yeah deleted and reinstalled about 5 times now!! Arrrrrrgg

It’s so true. I swear it was working a dream the other day. Now, it so much! Still it’s still worth it compared to sky!! Wankers haha
 
Hi Paul, 70000 events per 24 hour epg import download sounds about right. Mine is around that figure and I only use epg importer for IPTV channels, I use cross epg for my free to air/sky line channels.

So it sounds like the sources that epg importer is correct in that it is downloading the events, but then epg import doesn't know what to do with these events as it cant find the correct service reference which is what is uses to link the events to the right channel.

How did you get your current iptv provider on to your box, script via putty?
 
Hmm I'm not too familiar with ipab but I imagine that plugin runs a setup script in the background when you put in your details. Are there any other config options available or plugins that are created such as bouquet maker etc?

Really it is down to the provider to make sure they are providing the correct service reference on their streams so the EPG import can work. I would go back to your provider and ask for them to look at it.
 
With ipab try blue to update image or yellow for emergency update then try red button then 4 then look for your iptv provider if you need to enter details then enter them press green to save then yellow to run iptv then once done go to epg importer tick everything on there then I think yellow to import sources that's how I did mine using ipab image
