HI
If a provider gets blocked by the ISP/EPL block can this be fixed.
My current provider has been blocked and doesn't seem to be able to get around it for the past few weeks, and they recommend a vpn.
However i have had several providers tell me if they do ever get blocked they will simply just change ip address and work again.
Is it that simple?

Thanks in advance.

In answer to your question, Yes it can be fairly straightforward to change ip address if you know what you are doing. Recommending use of a vpn is a good idea and i'll go as far as saying it's an absolute essential. Vpns encrypt all data transferred back and forth, so the ISP cannot see your internet traffic. If the ISP decides to block a certain ip, it would still work over vpn.

It's not as simple as changing an ip. Yes you could do that and it would unblock it - but there's nothing to say the new ip won't get blocked again straight away and whilst you are changing ip there is downtime.

However there are ways that providers are starting to find out to get around the blocks and they are still fairly simple. I don't think it will be long before it is fairly common knowledge amongst them of how to do this.
