hello

when trying to upgrade firmware on box to the one dated march this year I get

Upgrade file is mismatch

Can anyone help please ?

Also how can I tell which version of firmware is on box. Only bought it the other day off ebay so not sure

My box is branded Libertview. does that mean its a clone ?

Libertview is the rebranded name of Skybox, to find the version of the firmware on your box press the menu button and go to the Tool section and information. software version should be in there something like 3601HD_10_4_2014_0670 date in the middle.

There is clones out there on these boxes as there was on the Skybox. On the original boxes when you first boot up the Splash screen just after finishing the LO100 on the Skybox and Liberview box should display the website address in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Where did you get the upgrade file from which you are using.?
 
Thanks just checked and it is 3601HD_01_04_2014_06B5

The website address is in the bottom right corner as www.Libertview.com

So guess this is an original box and not a clone - not sure where I got that firmware from was trying a few last night.


Guess that I go to Libertview.com and download from there if a more recent one

trishappa - Ive been told that if when you boot it up and when the screen comes on blue and says SKYBOX across the middle there should also be a www.skybox.cc down towards the bottom right corner if you can see this then it`s a genuine box if not it`s fake.

Have a look, let us know :-)

P.s Can anyone confirm that is correct ? (Im new here myself)
 
you just scan the qr code on the packaging that the box come in that will tell you where to get the software from.
 
I bought my F5s around year ago and i have never updated the firmware, on the boot up screen mine has sky.cc should it have changed to libertview?

I was hoping to update the firm so i can get a few missing channels back like H2 ect..
 
skybox.cc is just a loading screen

you wont know if you have a clone until you update and get a mismatch error.

updating firmware is for channels with sound and no pic

channel list is when invalid comes up and done via aj sat
 
Thanks God My F5s is not a fake when it loads it has skybox.cc but I still get scrambled on channels going to try upgrade the firmware just worried it will go tits up!!
Updated Ajs list and did a part factory rest by clicking blue button ok without selecting options still no luck with a few channels scrambled:(

The update is for with sound and no pic fix, ordered a null modem cable.

Fingers crossed its not a clone.

You can update by USB.

You only need to reflash using the RS232 method if your box is bricked (i.e. won't boot).

So glad you posted this when you did, was about to order a RS323.

Ive backed up everything and dumped it on usb and stored on pc, will let you know how i get on.

When u say u backed up everything how did you do it mate, did u follow a guide, did you back absolutley everything up, can u link me to guide if u used 1, ive not backed up yet ;-)

Not sure if i backed the whole thing up mate, i was 99% positive it was an original skybox so just gone ahead.

I done Menu / Tools / Dump by USB then i Change Dump Mode to "Misc File" / Clicked on "Select and Dump"

Select "TP_PROG.dbs" so it has a tick next to it then press yellow to "Dump onto USB", this will backup your channel list.

To backup your Cline server (NEED THIS!!) just select the "CCcam.cfg" or newcamd.list file

So updated firmware by usb and its all up and running using (libertview F3S F5S 3601HD 1404020580 solve video bug firmware) for my skybox f5s.

Had a problem with installing channel list as it kept saying NOCH on display, had a look noticed that aj list looked like TP_PROG(1).dbs when it should have actually been like this TP_PROG.dbs.

All working now, thanks. :)

Wheelo it dosent hava like or thanks on the mobike app via tapatalk that I can see ? I do use the thank you/like buttons if on computer but not that often.
Don't want to be rude and not acknowledge someones help, c'mon mate give us a break ? If you can tel me there is a thank you/like button on the mobile version then I will use it, if not I would like to say thank you if I must, is that ok ?
