remote pointing at tvThe war on IPTV services has been picking up around the world. Now the FBI is getting involved and has raided the owner of the IPTV service Gears Reloaded who goes by the name OMI IN A HELL CAT on YouTube according to a report from TorrentFreak. After the fall of Set TV NOW following lawsuits from DISH and ACE, the IPTV service Gears Reloaded became one of the most popular IPTV services on the market.
Now according to the owner of Gears Reloaded, the FBI has taken everything he has. The issue here is not just about the IPTV service though as OMI IN A HELL CAT says he is also facing issues around his taxes.
According to the owner, he “hit a great area and exploited it and they just didn’t like it. I made a ton of money but at the same time a lot of the money I made super-legit,” OMI IN A HELL CAT said during the Q&A. “[My friend] had to lend me a phone because I don’t have a phone. They seized millions of dollars out of all my accounts. They took all the cash I had laying around,” he says. “They took all my jewelry, kids’ things, they took Xboxes, they took computers, laptops, cellphones. They didn’t even leave drones.”
Recently there has been growing pressure on IPTV and piracy services in the united states. Back in September, the Department of Justice announced a Grand Jury had indicted eight people for allegedly running a pirate streaming service. The indictments said they ran Jetflix and iStreamItAll and offered over 100,000 movies and TV episodes to customers. According to the DOJ they claimed to have more customers than Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, and Amazon Prime.
At the time of the indictment, iStreamItAll’s website said it had plans starting at $19.99 a month that included access to 117,970 TV Episodes, 10,900 Movies, & ‘”current seasons daily updates from all of your favorite TV series.” Until recently, iStreamItAll’s website was still up and running but now the service has been shut down and the domain has been seized, according to a post online.

Now it seems that after winning a Grand Jury indictment against iStreamItAll, the FBI has turned its eyes on Gears Reloaded. The question now is where will this go and who will the FBI target next.
