Fire stick Help

I have been using a 4k fire stick with wifi and have had no problems. Purchased an ethernet adaptor so can use in other areas and it buffers all the time and drops its connection. Tried different leads etc and still not working properly. Any help / advice appreciated.

Is it a amazon adaptor or ugreen.

Are you using powerline adaptors, or straight into router?

Straight into router. Also changed ethernet cable and port. It recognises the connection and then drops out within seconds. Works fine on wifi but prefer to have a wired connection

Mr Hanky asked the important question is it an Amazon adaptor or a generic one? I've had both and in my opinion the Amazon ones are a lot better.

Like what's been said always go for the Amazon genuine product the cheap ones just need to go in the bin I have two of the genuine ones and no problems whatsoever

Deffinatly need to know what brand ethanet adaptor been used deffinatly amazon one works flawless with 2nd gen and 4k sticks. Nothing wrong with WiFi but with ethanet adaptor it's direct speeds

Thanks for all the info and advice. Reason I wanted a wired connection was because my wifi has been poor in certain parts of my property but actually managed to change some settings on my wifi hub and made a huge difference. Previously used powerline adapters with android tv boxes and new to fire sticks. Will also be investing in a better quality adapters if needed in the future.
