Hi folks,

We have been having issues with our xciptv app, unlicensed content etc, strange it has not appeared on our cube, just the stick

Now the app seems to have changed with only two boxes on the xciptv login screen, not the normal three boxes with room for the server

Whats the best course of action, vpn going to help, or should we just get a different android. Ive seen the official firestick alternatives thread but no discussion on whats good.

I think theres fake amazon sticks out there, worthwhile juat so the family still have the same interface
 
Try a different app . I don’t use xciptv but have you tried deleting it and re- installing or Factory reset the stick
 
You can try a different app on your firestick, but truthfully you should be looking at purchasing a different device. Amazon is killing IPTV on firesticks. Even if you fix this, it won't work for much longer.

In the US and Canada the Onn 4K is a great option. Or if you want something higher quality, the Formuler boxes and mag555 are great.

Mags are also ones to avoid.

Google could end up doing the same and start blocking third party apps in the future.

Android Tv devices not locked to anyone like google or amazon is the way to go.

You do not even have to register an account to use them.

Do your homework bud there is a load in the other thread to read up on.

It has the stalker app, yes, but also has the regular google tv interface so you can use downloader and get whatever you want.

But i agree that non-Google Android TV is best.

I’ve got the Xiaomi S box 3rd Gen and think it’s great. A good firestick alternative at the same price point. It’s out of stock at moment on their website but available on eBay, although mainly European plugs.

The Google streamer was great when on offer at £79 but now it’s back up to £99 then I wouldn’t say it was worth it so went with the Xiaomi
