Well had a friend ring me today at local gymn saying his car was refusing to start so did a bit of investigation work and apparently its a common fault with relay 30 in the cockpit fuse box not working etc

Used this as a guide and it worked and just thought i would share it if anyone had same problem
Just to add the terminal numbers are marked on the underside of the relay so you know which is which when bridging the cable in ok

Well had this car back round again because its now developed another fault ffs.
It starts up but its only running on cylinders 1+3 and 2+4 are dead no spark and no power to the ht leads.
Tried a known set of ht leads and coil pack from a working car and still no go.
Did an obd scan no faults in the system.
Had plug off coil pack and checked for power etc that seems fine and took protective shielding off the loom but no damaged or broken wires.
This has really got me stumped now to whether its an ECU fault and did a bit of digging but its buried deep behind the dashboard ffs and so the investigating goes on
