while it was a great result on sunday and now noone ,still not getting overconfident, I cant help thinking that the dubs would have been better off with a sterner challenge than westmeath provided.

lets hope so hill, at least they finally found their shooting boots, there were some really good scores from play.......there is a god.

he was impressive alright, but i thought when wheelo and shane came on, the middle of the park looked more solid.

yeah i aggree wheelo ryan did play well even when he was only on as a blood sub he made a goal and a point ,think gilroy will start with magee and mcconnell who i thought played well even though they had no competition
need to sort out the corner backs though ,weak link

just heard this news today i think we all wish Jim a speedy recovery

Stynes battles cancer

AFL legend Jim Stynes
Thursday, 2 July 2009 11:18
Former Dublin minor and Aussie rules star Jim Stynes is to take time out from his role as president of the Melbourne Demons as he fights cancer.

The 43-year-old discovered a tumour is his back three weeks ago and tests have revealed the disease has spread to other parts of his body.

'I need to put all my energies into getting my body right and to heal,' Stynes told reporters at a press conference on Thursday.

Stynes was accompanied by his wife, Demons chief executive Cameron Schwab and vice-president Don McLardy.

He played 264 games with Melbourne and remains the only player recruited outside Australia to win the Brownlow Medal.

A tireless charity worker, Stynes has also received recognition as an accomplished author since his retirement from the game.

wholeheartedly agree hill, jim was a great midfielder for the short while the dubs had him.
GET WELL SOON JIM.

Dublin team to face Kilkenny

The Dublin team to play in their their first Leinster decider since 1991 has been announced. Peter Kelly makes way for Liam Ryan in a shuffled attack .

Kilkenny were also the opponents in the final 18 years ago, with the Dubs losing out by two points, but the current crop would be doing brilliantly well to get as close as that to the Cats.

1. Gary Maguire
2. Niall Corcoran
3. Thomas Brady
4. Oisin Gough
5. Stephen Hiney (Capt.)
6. Joseph Boland
7. Michael Carton
8. Johnny Mc Caffrey
9. Alan Mc Crabbe
10. Shane Durkin
11. Liam Ryan
12. Kevin Flynn
13. David O Callaghan
14. Liam Rushe
15. David Treacy

:) UP THE DUBS :)
