Let me start by saying what I assume everybody thinks about this show...
It was one of the best shows I've ever watched, for as long as the script followed the books.
As soon as they started freewheeling, it went downhill—with a total crash in the last season, completely ruining everything that was built in the previous seasons...

Still very much worth watching though...
