God what an appt forum description!

Have been to gps coz ive not been well. MY asthma has been bad along with my hayfever for the last few days.
Anyways im not one to go to GPs unless im really in need of it, which i am today and i know what meds i needed.

So went in after waiting forever - oh yes forgot rang them this morning and was shocked at managing to get an appt the same day! well im not dead yet so im lucky to get an appt LOL

well i couldnt breath or talk and i felt like id been punched in the back and the chest and a large ten ton weight was crushing me.

so she examined me - put the stethoscope thingy on my back while i struggled to breath in and out.
Apparently she could NOT hear me crackle or wheeze ( although i was doing it at the time) and could not understand why i was having problems, THEN she looked at my notes to see what meds i was on. After checking that my asthma meds i was taking were what she had on her notes she also noticed - coz shes a doctor n clever! that i was taking special tabs to stop having babies - yes you guessed it commonly know as the pill! now apparently THAT is whats causing my asthma and the fact that i cant breath ( see now i forgot i was 18 and just started taking it FFS) oh she also asked if i had any blood clots or swollen ankles ( yup imconfused.com)

BUT then she gives me some antibiotics and some Prednisolone ( for severe Asthma) and tells me i should have gone to A&E WTF??? what planet is she on! 1st she tells me to come off the pill then tells me to go to A&E ???????????????

I went to the chemist to get my prescription and as i walked in the pharmasist said oh god your wheezing pretty bad - i know what you need!

when i told her what the GP said ( sorry shes NOT a doctor but a general practitioner - so knows F All) even she said she wonders how they become GPs when they come out with stuff like that!!
So i think im gonna be come a GP coz i seem to know more about my body n whats wrong with me than some stupid woman

Have a read Linny, a GP should be more than qualified, a Pharmacist should not undermine a GP like that all the same I know how you feel with Hayfever, spoils the whole of my summer but I get it later on May to end of August, you have my sympathy, there's nothing worse especially when suffering with Asthma.

Well i had a better nights sleep - back dont feel like its got Wheelos bus on it lol! and hopefully the preds are kicking in now as ive had 2 lots, antis will kick in later today as ive only had 2 out of 21 so should start to feel more human later in the day!

H the hayfever i can usually cope with as im used to it, but its when you cant breath and struggle to even walk it gets you down!

H we all know gps are often wrong with their diagonsise as said they are General Practitioners and dont know about everthing just general stuff. But even i was shocked when she said she couldn't hear me crackling or wheezing. Jeeees i puffed just getting up out of the chair! She even moaned coz i drove to the gps - erm its about 5 miles away how the hell else was i meant to get there!!!!
Im still wheezing now but not quite as bad as yesterday! The thing is the gp didnt even bother to look on my notes properly just read what she wanted to read. And the impression i got was maybe because of ( being diplomatic) her culture she didnt believe in birth control! But if i did that and ended up with a lump a few months later THAT would kill me coz id end up with a heart attack lol - im FAR to old to me a mummy again LOL!
Plus i have never heard before that The Birth control Pill can cause the onset of Asthma - so why do so many people adults and kids suffer if that is the onset???? and why do not all women of child bearing age suffer with asthma??

Hardly relaxing recoperating maybe but me bottle has gone cold so need to go get a frsh one to help the pains in my back - heat seems to work easing the pain

I do get your frustration with your GP, mine is the same, I swear you would have to squirting blood from a major artery before he would take anything seriously. He's such an ass LOL!!!!
P.S. If you need someone to watch Rango while you recuperate I'll be more than happy to do it (I know get your own beardie LOL!!!!!)
 
Oh what a fun day ive had ended up in A & E but been sorted and now on the mend. Consultant said gps dont know much about asthma and laughed when i told him what she said about pill lol. He also said never up ur dose of the btown puff as it does nothing but use a spacer and taken upto 15 puffs of ventolin which = 1 neb if still suffering do same again = 2 nebulisers then go yo A&E if no better. Had some very nice n charming staff look after me. Haf xray blood test nebs & steriods - oh what fun :) now waiting for hubby to pik me up

Poor hubby is at work again today and has and is always good n runs round after me lol its a lovely day but i cant go in garden and even told not to put washing on the line when pollen count is high as it affects clothes and my asthma n hayfever and apparentlt birch and ash trees are the worst trees for us - we got both over then fence in the garden behind us but only just found out that they r worse that grass pollen :( - oh well nothing ican do about that. But thanks today im gonna do as ive done all week J S! Just aint got the energy and after yesterday got a nice bruise from the drip in my arm :(

Well as u saw from other rant lol still under the weather. But think i am getting there :)

Maybe i should go hide away till i feel "normal" LOL
And io! B4 u lot comment i can do normal ................ Well sometimes:)
