Getting break up/interference on a lot of channels

Looks like decent enough cable, .any chance that rodents could have chewed it,? or damp ingress.
Remember, you will be testing it with a DC meter (probably, unless you have a meter costing a couple of grand ) , the signal going down it will be an AC signal, so the problem with the cable might not show up.
This is only a guess BTW, but if removing that cable shows better readings then by default it's most likely the cable at fault.
The cable is just under the floor boards and not hanging on the floor so I expect neither damp nor rodent damage. Well, the cat never tells me there are any rodents. Tonight i'm going to remove the cable from the splitter and see if the levels drop. After this i have the official splitter kit that came with the box and i will make up a short lead and run it just over the carpet to see what those levels are like. After that, i have a signal booster coming and of course, i can contact virgin. i want to be there if v comes out as i have to remove my nvidia and viark boxes and maybe my solo 4k if they are coming into the house.

Ok so i have swapped out my splitter for the ready made cable they provide. This has increased signal levels into -8 and -9 instead of -10. I have made a new extension cable up and tested and its the same as the one under the floor signal wise. Swapped back to the one under the carpet but remade the connections. Although the signal is still -8 and -9 at present we have no glitches. The black f connector end on my cable that runs under the floor are from a pack they are anodized in the pack (black)

Still too low mate and a suspect youll have issues along the way ideal is 0 but never minus. They normall get + figures and then use droppers inside the house to get figure to around zero. Very handy if you then add splitter when their gone and remove the dropper.

If you login to the virgin media forums start a thread tell them you having issues and show the reading your getting a Moderator will read it contact you via PM and they will send an engineer out for free. Might take a couple of days for the Moderator to get around to that though.

Well i have today fitted the virgin signal booster i got off of ebay and the signals have improved greatly. Not above zero but not as low as - 6. so hopefully this should be ok for a while.

Yes those are fine, -6 to +10 are within range, most of yours were -10, hence the pixelation.
What's the picture like now?

Picture was fine when we had it a -9 but now no glitches at all do far. It's was mainly SD discovery any sky witness. thanks for everyone's help I just needed to know about the signal levels.
