Golden interstar xpeed lx2 how do i connect two LMB cables

Hi I am looking to buy a golden interstar xpeed lx2 sat box it states that it is a twin tuner, but I have seen some images of the rear panel and all I can see is Tuner A.

So how do I connect the two wires from the LMB

It has a twin tuner, tuner A and Tuner B the second tuner is a add on card with a loop connection just under the LNB connection on tuner B

Heres a picture (my box looks like this):

Hi Forcefire thanks for the info

So tuner B is a add on card, do you get this card with the machine or is that an extra.

Thanks for the photo but I carnt see where the second LMB connects it look as if tuner B is the old tv Ariel socket

Then you have a different xpeed LX2, Looks like you have a Golden Interstar XPEED LX2 HD COMBO Receiver (1x DVB-S/S2 + 1x Hybrid DVB-C/T/T2) these are sky(S/S2) and cable (C/T/T2) boxes.

Did you get it from World of Satellite for £129? as that was the combo box they were selling, for twin sky tuners you needed the £109 2x DVB-S/S2 box (Golden Interstar XPEED LX2 HD Enigma 2 Linux PVR (2x DVB-S/S2) Twin Tuner Satellite Receiver) if you did then you need to send it back, to replace the tuner card inside is about £50 so do a factory re-set, send it back and save yourself £20 too.

More boxes are going down the "switchable" tuner route.

This box has a soldered sat Tuner A

Tuner B is switchable, so you just plug in another tuner to the board, which means the same box can then be sold as a single sat or twin sat or combo ( sat / cable) version.

If you have got a normal ariel connection for Tuner B you have a combo.

Hi guys thanks for the info, but may I say I am totally confused now, I ordered a Golden interstar xpeed lx2 from World of satellite at £109.00 last Friday then over the weekend I saw a photo of this box and it did not show two LMB connection's.

So this morning I cancelled the order whilst I made sure I had the twin tuner model, then after viewing several threads on this site I made another order at £109.00 and the latest update says it is shipped and should be with me tomorrow, so I guess I will find out then.

I have sent several emails to World of Satellite to confirmthis box has twin tuners and never got a reply also I have tried ringing them and no one answers the phone?

The Xpeed LX2 at £109 from W.O.S has a twin sky tuner mate, I have that box purchased from W.O.S so I can say for certain its what you are looking for.

When it arrives you will see it looks the same as the picture I posted above, also the image I have uploaded to this forum is for that box so use that to get your box up and running really quickly.

Thank you forcefire I hope it is ok. thank you for posting the photo the Tuner A looks like a sky connector but it looks different connector for tuner B.

Do I need to make a backup of the box as it is in case something goes wrong is so is it hard to do.

Regards

I too have this £109 box from WOS and it looks exactlyn like the photo uploaded above, Brilliant box best ive had so far. Just about getting my head around most of its tech, but havent quite figured out the whole twin tuner bit.. Havent had a need to record one channel and watch another yet but im sure it will come up soon.. Let me get this rite do i need 2 co-ax sat cables? Atm i just have 1 going from tuner A to my wall connection and surprisingly only tuner a works atm...fancy that?? ;) Dont really get the in and out thing with tuner B and the only spare slot on my waqll connection says sat2/return...Please help!

You do need both tuners to be connected to your dish. I have set tuner B for all recordings this way I can set the programs I want to record and never worry about the box telling me to switch tuners or anything. If you think about it sky's second tuner didn't do anything either expect for recording so your just cloning the sky system.

Glad your enjoying the LX2 :)
