GOOD ANDROID FOR APPS

Hi all
well we bought this polaroid TV and tbh its crap not got any apps worth talking about...
So its either throw it in the bin OR get and box that I can download decent apps (amazon etc) and it keeps telling me now media not supported (avi) after having it working before its peeing me right off...

besides shelling out more money for another tv (which on top of chrimbo) aint going to happen

Any help I would be grateful

Second the firestick just paid £24.99 for one, it has amazon obviously, netflix, bbc i player, itv player, all4, 5 on demand also others available but haven't downloaded any yet
