Guide How to set up an E2 combo box with vix image

Can anyone help? The satellite tuner I've got is giving an audio commentary on certain programmes and I cannot find how to turn it off? It's a Xtrend ET8000
 
So, I've followed this guide from scratch a couple of times, used Hades and the Openvix images freshly downloaded from WOS, but not much joy. Scanning around the threads, it may be due to the mg_cfg file, however I have also replaced those, using separate ones for 1.35a and 1.38. Any further suggestions on what I am doing wrong?. Does anyone know how to check if I am actually connected to a server, I have tried 2 different servers but no joy. Thanks.

grrrrrrr - now working, my head hurts :o

I have loaded plugins CCCAM and MGCamd into the receiver and

I am trying to copy the CCCam line to the receiver

Which folder contains CCCam? ( VU + Solo)

Just wanted to say thanks to bees for taking time to write the guide in such a detailed way, at the beginning I messed up a little bit, (bcoz I'm an idiot and too impatient), I've managed to set up my miraclebox and now it's working beautifully. It's bcoz of guys like you and catkid who persevere and keep answering the same questions again and again that even a complete idiot like me can set up a box at the end... 👍
 
no if only using one side or other just run the one you want,not much point setting up sat side with no dish or connection.
 
When I recieve a line starting with C: is that a c-line? should i select the Cccam box instead of MGcam?

Does this just get copied over the CWS = or is this a different type of line?
 
Not many cable servers use a C Line, that's why I didn't include it in the guide.

I guess you must be one of those lucky ones lol

But to answer your question, download Ccam 2.30 from the plugins menu.

Create a file called CCcam.cfg using notepad, make sure you use the option of "save as" the change the file type to "ALL" not txt.

Paste in your line.

Do not change the front end.

FTP using filezilla to the ETC folder

Activate the cam, Blue button for the green tick lol
 
Don't hit me with a hammer for asking this question, but my cable aerial (virgin Media) has a screw on connection to go into my kryptview box, but there isn't a screw input on the back of the miracle box plus?? What do I need to do change the connection? Do I need to take the screw off and replace it with a aerial socket?
