Thanks bees, for advice. Yesterday I was changing A/V settings and my tv settings to get the epg to fit. I don't know what I did but the Interface was shifted to the right almost half way across screen. I think this happened after I started shifting the interface. Strangely this did not shift as I was pressing the right button, but has shifted after I exited out of the interface like a delayed reaction. Afters bees advice I played around with it again and was able to resize interface so that epg fits the screen whilst tv is set to just setting. Bingo!

Hi I have just set up my xtrend et8000 . all is going well but I get no config files found. I know my nline is working . I have downloaded your link as mentioned at the start of the thread but I cannot open it without buying special programs for my macbook. So I just opened the mg config file on the var and keys and copied and pasted my line changing the N: for the CWS = I am presuming this is where I am going wrong . is it CWS space = space . I have tried both. Any advice would be appreciated.

your nline in newcamd.list should be CWS = 2016.blabla.org rest of line
 
Success at last , hav managed to set up my miraclebox.
Many thanks to all who assisted with advice especially BEEs with his great set up guide.

You can open it on a Mac. Download and install The Unarchiver, then right click (or double finger click if you're using the pad) on the file and select "open with > the unarchiver". This will unzip the file, giving you the config files you need. You can then open and edit these files with Text Edit.
 
Hi thanks for the replies. When I opened up the files using the Mac it showed nothing with macs version of notepad. When I went onto my Windows laptop and opened it up using notepad it showed the lines to be replaced. I replaced them and hey presto . Thanks again for the help

When i copy th mg and newlist over it doesnt show in softcam man. I just get an empty page. It shows that its in the on filezilla. Any ideas?? Ive read that i need to change the permissions of th files to 700 in filezilla and install and restart enigma. None of that has worked. Help needed pretty pretty please
 
Is there a way to do a reset so it resets to how it came in the box. I think ive tried that many things to get this to work im not confident that ill ever fix it. I did get the mgcamd list activated before but not now. A fact reset doesnt seem to delete the files.
 
Hi got a miraclebox premium micro and got to the files bit that I have to download for the cline .do I need to connect the box to the laptop to put the files on the box
 
Im no expert but try firezilla client. Its a program that connects your laptop to your box without cables. You put your box ip address in and it connects. If you google it you can find out what you fill in the other fields. Try it see if it works

Hi, ive managed to get everything set up as per bees great guide but i can still only get fta channels. Mgcam has great ticked in softcam man. Not sure what else to try now. Hav a technomate nano
 
Did your bouquets scan ok in ABM? EPG o.k? Restarted box? Line defo entered correctly and as CWS?

Yeah all channels scanned fine. I have all showing. When you put it on a sky channel it shows the epg so that works fine. Ive restarted box. Ive entered line correctly. I only entered the line once in newcam list as i only have only feed. I assume you would only paste two lines in if you had a cable and a sat line. I only have sat.

do you have a N line or C line
 
I was at the same situation but on cable. I ended up taking mgcam back off box, reloading it without line on then adding line and uploading, hope that makes sense!
 
Oh ok ill try that. So in softcam disable set up and stop it then using firezilla to remove both mgcam and newlist. Then loadin th mgcam softcam start etc then goin in and loading newlist? Ill try tonight. If it works ill jump for joy. Ive lost half my week on this haha. If could get going for footy on sat will b laughing. Thanks for tip.
