Hardware for IPTV?

I'm looking at IPTV obviously because of the issues we are all having with our sly CS subs.

I don't mind how I receive my TV but my OH doesn't like anything too complicated so I am trying to find the simplest solution. I am currently using a zgemma star 2s with wooshbuild and slyk skin so it was at least similar looking to the genuine sly sub that I used to have.

It's took her nearly 2 years to get used to this set up and she still doesn't fully understand it so I want something nice and easy to use. I know my 2s is not going to cut it with IPTV but I do have a Samsung smart TV and an MXQ android box with Kodi Installed. I have no idea if either of these can be set up with a nice looking epg so we can just choose the channels???

Or would it be better to go for a dedicated device such as a Mag 254?
 
I have IPTV on my H2s running Wooshbuild which runs well and has an epg which integrates with the slyk skin. Might struggle on a 2s though. Also have it on my Samsung HU6400 with the Smart iptv app but the epg is a liitle tricky to get use to.
 
lots of posts saying it can be done in many threads, zero posts saying how :(

I too am looking for EPG as well as recording capabilities and ability to stream to my PC.
