I've just changed Internet provider and now having issues. I never thought about it affecting my stick i just saw that they offer better speeds around me. I've managed to turn shield off but can't download certain things.

Ime going to plug my old router in tomorrow and see if it works on that.
 
Sky do have block restrictions on certain things and changing the router won’t work
 
Have you got a cooling off period and is it Ftth or FTTC ? Only ASU’s netgear and to link will work but you will have to know your stuff to set them up and sky won’t help.
 
How long have you been with them , there was a cloud flare outage today . Have you tried a vpn?
Did you reboot router after turning shield off , leave it off for approx 15 mins . The check it’s still off when powered on.

VPN should sort that.
Did CityFibre do the install as I know Sky offer full fibre through the Cityfibre network in selected areas.

Contact customer support and tell them you need to use a vpn for work and they will disable certain things. If you are still in the cooling off period ditch them asap
