OK here we are after 2 days of trial and error i now have a solution which allows both sat and cable to work perfectly. i had terrible glitching on the sat side no matter which server or firmware i tried i am not n3 yet so cable has always been ok but new card has just arrived so wanted to be ready.This was my solution i have tried on two boxes now with the same result. i hope it works for you but as always its at your own risk.

1. First use SVHD+FIX (follow instructions to reset your box to standard)
2. If you need to set your MAC address now
3. Install Starview_HD_Combo_+_0128
4. Factory default
5. Install GrooveRider_HD_Combo_+_1214
6. Factory Default
7. Install KnightRider_HD_Combo_+_0528 (i did a channel scan here but dont think its required)
8. DO NOT Factory Reset
9. Install Guinness_HD+_Combo_With_Cccam_Fix_0524
10. Scan all channels and set up servers. (remeber you need to 8989 to access all menus)

For me this is now perfect i cannot check N3 but it connects to Ustream straight away so imagine all is good
For the first time i have sat with absolutly no glitching or freezing been on for 4 hours now and it great tried 2 different servers and its the same outcome.
I have also noticed an imporvment in the home streaming performance but that could just be me.

Hope this helps anyone with the same problems

hi i have cable only with no dish will i be able to use this info and get the same results or do i need to connect a dish

very new to this cheers
 
You need a dish to recieve the sat channels and also a cs server do some reading on this forum about cs it will help while your learning;)
 
Great Post, I got through all the loading etc, and now i have Ustream connected but still nothing!! any ideas what might be the problem still?
 
Ok try going to accessory/key edit then press reset key data
and yes to the option to reset once done power off and back on
and see if that helps
 
Thanks for that tip, but still No joy... do i need any other settings for streaming, or a sat card, or anything that i am missing, cant figure it.
 
Ok are we missing something obvious are you trying to get sat or cable going ? If it's sat you need a cs server if it's cable you need a working cable line connected
 
if you guys have a read around the forum re the combos it will give you info on what is needed, something maybe you should have read up on before you purchased.
You might also want to know that they are clamping down on cs - just a friendly heads up!

hi ive had sv for last 5 yrs and bought combo for cble not sat

thats why sat is new to me so if you can reccommend anything id appreciate it and thanks for the heads up
 
sorry mate dont know anything about the combo but think you need both cable n sat for it to work- take a look around there is info on here but its something ive never looked into - gone back to paying VM :(
 
box could have been used on both,but with cable gone/going to n3 the harder bit is sat and you need a dish for that.
 
Glitching

Hi Chaps
I followed the instructions to the letter and all worked fine, even streaming. But I have shed loads of glitching on the cable side, any advise?
