Help - IPTV jittery on Apple TV

Looking for some help if anyone has experienced the same issue.

I was using a Firestick 4K Max with Tivimate and no issues. Recently ive switched to an Apple TV 4K with UHF. Anytime i watch football in either a FHD or HD stream at either 25 FPS or 50 FPS both seem jittery or stuttering. However when i play it in a 4K stream if available it’s smooth with no issues. My problem is that 4K is not always available.

I have match frame rate and dynamic range on in my apple tv settings and i also have frame rate matching on within UHF as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am not familiar with ATV but have you tried just using either the ATV AFR or UHF AFR.
On Android I just use AFR in the app I am using. I don’t have AFR enabled on my device as well.

Just tried with ATV frame rate off and UHF on and vice versa but no luck unfortunately. Starting to wonder if i should go back to android…

Make sure the router filters are disabled. Those 4K stream are most likely coming from different stream feeds compared to the other streams.

I would start there first then try switching to your mobile data if thy still buffer.

You will find the issue its just a case of testing various things to see what is causing it.

I have never had that problem, but it might be worth trying a lower resolution SDR 50 FPS with the frame rate enabled on ATV.
Mine automatically switches apart from Peacock

Every other app i use switches without issue but not on UHF. It will switch from SDR to HDR no issue but frames dont. ATV is set to 4K SDR 50hz as standard

Could this still be network related even if it works perfectly through a firestick and tivimate? I will give mobile data a go and see what that does thank you

I used to have UHF but changed back to Tivimax! Have you tried to change the players, because what I remember some were jumpy

Go through the checks until you narrow it down.

Try changing the player in the app also.

Just downloaded tivimax lite before committing to the premium and it did seem a lot better however i noticed that it didnt switch the tv from SDR to HDR when i played a 4k stream which UHF did. Do you know if this works on the premium version at all?

Tbh I don't, I put the IPTV directly on the LG TV as well ,her indoors watches the Vod on Apple with no problem! I prefer the TV as Dolby Atmos kicks in when 4k is used and the TV adjusts everything.
Not much help to you though!
I will try 4 k content on Tivimax and see what happens and get back to you in a moment

Right tried Sky sports UHD main event works great, Tennis
Tried the new Avatar 4k movie also spot on.
I have video settings 4k Dolby Vision 50 on
And enabled frame rate and all the other 3 options in that settings.
My only criticism is I get Dolby Vision on ATV and not Atmos!
But that may be the pass through bit of Atv

Do you have match dynamic range set to on?
It could be an issue with app it’s self if other players work correctly.

Absolute legend, tried multiple different apps including iptvx and smarters and they were all doing the same and yet tivimax is working a dream!! Issue of not switching to hdr is still there but i think i may just change my apple tv standard to 4K HDR 50hz instead of SDR. Do you have yours set to dolby vision all of the time?

Yes , I have never changed it, I mentioned Peacock as some have problems

Does it not switch correctly when match dynamic range is enabled?
