Satellite Help recording while watching another

Having a issue, have sat connected but can only watch programs I'm recording.

what tuners are working on box if you have a twin sat box do you have both tuners configured and connected with cables from lnb?

The other one is cable well its a rf port and the sat which is connected, but didn't think I had to do anything else

ok then you will need also to have a cable server to have viewing on other tuner.

twin sat tuner or twin cable will allow viewing and recording.

The H5 has 1 sat and 1 cable tuner so if you're recording 1 sat channel then you wont be able to watch another sat channel.
