Hi all I am stuck and done everything I can think of so I am looking for idea's.
To start off this is what happened.
Box started to glitch alot so I done a s/w update from the box. Then I could only get fta channels. So reset the box and scanned found all channels but still only the free to air worked.
So I up the firmware on again via null lead. Still the same so I put an older firmware on.still the same. Re update the firmware via null lead. Still the same. Updated it via box to box transfer.still the same. The net id is right. I have pinged the box it says its there. Signal strength is fine nothing wrong with any of the cables as I have changed them to test. It seems to me a internet connection problem but it pinged ok so I am lost...the other box works fine on the same setup. Have I missed something to try?
 
Skunk.. Even smoking more of it won't Help you..! If your mates box works on your wiring etc and you done a box to box with his then like you say it can only be your ethernet port that's faulty on your kV.. Is it flashing away when Ethernet is plugged in..?

Thats the thing the lan port is flashing as if it is trying to get the over ride signal. And when I ping'ed it.. it was there responding the same as the good box.
 
sorry not sure if this will be of any help but did you check what it says when you are going to scan channels? could be a silly question i know but there are different settings you can select when you select the network, is there any chance that only the fta has been selected giving you only the fta channels? tbh im not even sure if changing this setting does affect channels that are downloaded but its about only thing i can think of.

Yes all settings are correct.. I have been though everything meticulously... cheers for the thought tho.. its a head bender..
