a 1tb hdd is only a few quid more than a 500gb so might as well get the 1tb. yes it holds 1000's of hours of TV, if you have a wife like me that works in evenings so records all the soaps etc as well as the saturday/sunday night drama's there is no rush for her to watch them and I don't have to worry 'is there enough space' when I want to record my 1 show a week.
