wow i need some help here, i was having problems with the pc i bought 5 months ago , (turns out the mother board was fried, dont buy a zoostorm ! !) anyway took it back & exchanged it for a hp pavilion, now, i have 2 monitors a 24" & a 17", both in the old tower were the screw in type & worked excellent with display fusion, now , this new tower has 1 screw in type for the 17" & the 24" one is hdmi from the tower to the monitor,, i have been on 2 days now trying to get the screen settings right on the 24" one & its driving me insane !!!! the 17" is fine( screw in) , the 24"one (hdmi) i cant see the task bar its off screen, cant see back button, half the bookmarks are off screen, the font is tiny,been in the settings & tried everything , i cant even close the screen on the 24", i have to go in to task manager & close from there ! is it a new monitir scenario? worked fine on the last one :( any help appriciated chaps before the thing goes out the window !!!! lol

I had a similar problem when I upgraded to windows 10 was a pain in the arse but worked it out in the end, display adapter properties then list all modes and then 1 of them worked for me
 
cant even find that tbh mate, cheers for reply though ;-)

Are you on windows 10? I presume you are as it is such a new computer-
Click on the start/windows symbol on the bottom left,
Click on settings,
Click on system, and there are the display settings.

done that mate ;-) cant get it right :( im still trying now! lol & yes windows 10 & i cant see start lol lol like i said , nothing is there , its cut off

It can't be that bad...and it took me ages to sort mine plus I still haven't got my second screen at 1080p only 720 so maybe you spilling may help me too lol

it was the monitor, needed resetting to the correct aspect ratio, you know , like you do on the tv :oops: lol anyway , all sorted now , thanks for the help as always chaps & chapesses lol now having a :drink:or 2 & putting everything back in :p
