Hotel WiFi - Boost

I am about to go on holiday in the EU. Last time I was in this hotel the WiFi in the room was weak and although things would work the signal seemed to drift a lot. Is there anything I can get that will take the existing signal and boost it withing the hotel room? I have read some stuff and I saw somthing that even has a VPN capability, which would be amazing. Has anyone any experience of doing this and what would anyone recommend purchasing.

You could buy a local sim card if your phone is unlocked, then use the phone's hotspot for any devices you want to use. A lot of airports sell local sim cards in arrivals.

Have a nice holiday, the E.U is lovely at this time of year.

Agree with pup get a sim card whilst on holiday and just use that even in a travel router
