How Can I Get my Android MXQ TV Box to work with my 4K TV

I have an Android KitKat OTT TV Box 4XCPU 4XGPU. It says it supports HD 1080P.

My new TV is a Vizio 50 In. 2160P Full-Array 4K Ultra Hd Led 120Hz Smart Tv M50-C1

When I bought the Android TV Box, I had a Vizio HD TV, and the TV box works fine with it. Then I bought a new Vizio 4K TV and I hooked it up and the box booted OK and the home screen showed for a few seconds and then the TV screen went black and it said, "No Signal".
I disconnected the TV box and connected it to my HD Vizio TV and it still works good.

What can I do to make the TV Box work with my Ultra HD 4K TV?

I thought of that, but can't figure out how or where to go. I looked around in the TV settings and in the Android box settings, but don't see settings in either one to change the resolution. Actually, in the Vizio TV, I have the picture mode set at "Standard" and it's showing 480P. I'll play around with the TV settings some more and keep trying the MXQ box.

Edited: dsayers2014, I found a mode setting in the Vizio TV that said "computer" and now the MXQ box works. :)

I have a 58 inch Vizio d58u-d3 4k TV and I tried changing to the computer setting for the picture and the TV still says no signal. Any other ideas? The MXQ box works with all the non 4k tv's in the house.

Interestingly the CEC device recovery recognizes the device on the hdmi input and renames the hdmi input to "MBOX". It makes me think that the TV is blocking the signal, if that makes sense. Please help!

Have you tried turning off hdmi-cec on your tv? I had a similar issue with a Firetv Stick. Wouldn't get ant picture on the tv until I turned off hdmi-cec.

Have a look within the settings on your tv, and see if it helps to turn hdmi-cec off

Just setting the Picture Mode to Computer did not work for me. Why it works for others is a mystery its only the color and contrast settings on the system. It tweaks it to make using a computer easier to read on the screen. Works good for that. The way to fix the MXQ ( OTT ) Android TV Box is to use a monitor or your old tv that worked before and go to settings, select display then turn off HDMI Auto Detection. My box defaulted to 1080p-60hz (in in the USA) that worked for me. Also for me at least, changing the CEC Setting to off on the Vizio 4K TV was also a waste of time as others claim to fix the issue. I also tried 1080i-60hz and it worked well too. 720p-60hz should also be safe.
I hope this helps others with this issue.
