How do I download a file?

Have you got your boxes ip address written down and are you typing this into your browser when you get to hdmi part on your tv, this needs to be done, but you are starting to get there now.
 
All thanks for all the help you have attempted to give me, but firstly I think my wife would like to watch real tv for now and I'm clearly not understanding anything I'm going to give up for now and may or may not revisit this after the holidays

This is the problem I'm now getting information I don't remember getting before its getting all too much I'm giving up for now and will consider if I revisit, all I thought I was doing was getting a new sat receiver
 
ok, if you read everything on the infinity page posted above, then read it again, you'll see that it's the simplest procedure to follow but it needs doing in order.
Trying to rush through everything to watch channels results in days and days of going in circles....you have a read while she watches TV and see if any of it makes sense
 
Whilst I'm thinking this all through is there somewhere I can read this step by step guide because I am Lost now this should be simple and now apperently I have to talk to the box from my laptop (not sure how that works no ones told me to connect the box to my network yet

You keep mentioning this infinity page???? but whats the link? if you refer to the site where I downloaded woosh 7 then its just all large writting , isnt there somewhere I can just read (a link would be nice), I don't use windows here so anything I do must be via linux munt
 
Have another go at it later mate, as Pablo says have a read through the infinity thread, just the first part for now, believe me you will get this set up in 20 mins, you were making progress, have your box ip address ready next time aswell, it will speed things up, see if you can find some spare time later and get back to it, you have nothing to lose.

OK I know the address its 192.168.1.239 but in my browser I just get red and black lines of text which tell me nothing
 
How/where do I get webif? this is the problem you read something and only seem to get half the info, then I need to find what is the latest Woosh I can download from where apparently the woosh 7 is the latest
 
i don't know what contraption you are using to post the the forum but I don't think links are visible to you as the wooshbuild infinity installation link has been posted over and over again in this thread and you haven't seen any of them, the last time being 15 mins ago and then later you asked where it could be found.

I'm using linux mint (19) with firefox browser, the only links I have found are to the woosh article not for the download itself if woosh 7 is not the latest what is and where can I get it?
