How or why are "dodgy fire sticks" with annual subs so much cheaper than paying for a monthly IPTV sub?

Hello. I've been an occasional user of IPTV since about 6 years ago. Whenever I have had a monthly sub, the price has always been around £15-20 a month. I keep hearing about these "dodgy fire sticks" which offer the same channels and services as an IPTV sub, but with a significantly lower price. Typing "dodgy fire stick UK cost" into Google returns the following result. It mentions £30-£100 a year subscription costs. Assuming I want HD/UHD streams, it's £80-100 a year. That's still much cheaper than what I was previously doing buying monthly subs from resellers on here. A £20 monthly IPTV sub from a resller on TK is £240 a year. I felt like a mug paying that much when others are seemingly getting annual subs for much cheaper. Is there a catch with these dodgy fire sticks that I'm not seeing? Anyone know why they are so much cheaper than buying monthly subs from resellers on TK or elsewhere?

OK
1 wouldn't use a firestick
2 sub's will be more expensive if you pay monthly
3 monthly cost £10 to £15 general prices
4 yearly £50 to £70 general prices

Prices on sub's generally based on a number of factors

. content
. Vod content
. catchup
. 4k where avliable
. 50/60 fps where available mainly sport
. how good the EPG is etc.
. speed of support

You pay monthly when your trying out a new sub in most cases .
That way if you don,t like it for what ever reason you can move on to another supplier till you find one you like.
It might be menus disorganised/bad streams/ poor customer service many reason.

Another thing to consider is services are not created equal and a lot of these firesticks are loaded with really cheap services. Your annual cost should be cheaper averaged out than buying single months one at a time.

The issue with paying for an annual sub is, you risk losing more money compared to paying monthly if a provider disappears or gets shut down. Also I've never had any problems with using a Fire Stick for IPTV. I had an Nvidia Shield a few years ago, but ended up selling it as the Fire Stick does everything I need it to do for IPTV. The only thing it can't do is record live TV, but I can live without that.

Not really, you're just using inaccurate math.

For starters, you’re using AI. They will not have the greatest info on unregulated markets. For example, you can see that it’s scrapped Reddit which is an open shithole brings a lot dishonest people/people trying to hustle a dollar.

What everyone else said kinda spelled it out. You can totally go get a cheap service off like Z2U or something and if that’s enough for you. That’s great! A lot of those pre-loaded firesticks usually use a cheapish service. The service on your dodgy firestick could die a week/month after you bought it. It sounds like by own admission you’re making it more expensive for yourself because of your own risk tolerance.

Anywho, you do you. There really isn't a bad answer to it. Just what works best for you.

"dodgy firestick" is nothing more than a device (mostly android) with an app on it.

sounds better for the papers saying that
