How To Add Contacts To Echo Dot?

Just purchased an Echo Dot 3rd generation.
I was under the impression that I could call all my mobile phone stored contacts through the Echo Dot.
All that is coming up on my phone is my sister who has a Firestick.
I thought I could ring all my contacts, even those without Alexa devices.
 
Alexa calling and messaging only supports those contacts with an echo dot not everyone I thought same till I read about only contacts with alexa can be called
 
That's disappointing. Thanks for letting me know. I had Alexa on Firestick. I wonder does the Echo Dot do more than the Firestick can.
 
Yeah alot more I have echo dot plays any songs you want tells you news weather I can get her to fart lol I've smart plugs aswell so she controls them there's loads they can do as Internet based and can have them anywhere in home don't need a tv set reminders alarms

I just ask her to play artists as playlists upon playlists just like Spotify but don't have to pay lol plus connected to sound bar just a shame she dosnt always understand what you ask her
 
£16 for month with amazon music unlimited but if have alexa on phone or firestick can link to that don't know how many devices in total
