How to use crypto

Also that link from @mike123 is not working in the UK as the service isn't available.

All crypto puchases in the UK now require KYC, so people have to sign up, provide an ID and then wait 24 hours before you can make the purchase and send someone crypto.

I paid for a service with crypto for the first time last week, no clue what I was doing but the payment landed with the seller eventually, took almost 24 hours but it got there.
Had to use an app called trust wallet.

My provider using any of them for few reasons only one let me use was Phantom, and i bought the amount i needed, and tried to send it, this where i need help all new to me this, i could only send half all it would let me and it says i have nothing left says i have £46.90 but cant sent anything cause dont have enough, why has it taken half money of for no reason. anyone help on this , kinda all new to me .

Zack if you are not happy using crypto in the future find a supplier that uses paypal or bank transfer.

Putting money into crypto isn't the same as sending from bank to PayPal or similar, they charge you commission, so if you needed to send someone for example, £100, you'd have to put about £110 in as they'd charge you probably £5-6 admin fee, then when you send the £100, it may charge you another £5-6

You said earlier that you have £49.60 left in?

The Phantom protocol token has been in a down trend and has dropped over 50% in the last few weeks.
Sellers should be letting you pay with stable coins as they rarely fluctuate and safer from big market drops.
PHM is a shit coin imo along with many thousands of others that are around.
As you can see it down and to the right is something you avoid unless you are shorting.

They are more stable but can still have significant drops in times of market volatility.
Stable coins are more of a save haven when the markets are volatile but nothing is assured in crypto.

Phantom is the app, not the coin.
It looks like you have bitcoin or similar, a bitcoin might be £80k, so if you buy fifty quids worth, itll be 0.00001 bitcoin, it's still £50, you are trying to send 50 bitcoin, which would be £400k, send him 47 uk pounds and see what happens

Yeah it can be volatile at times either way.
That’s why it would be better to use something like Tether USDT which is pegged to the dollar and only fluctuates with the dollar.
Fees can be cheap depending on the blockchain used.

I don’t really buy and send crypto to private wallets.
I have only bought and sold it on crypto trading exchanges.
I would imagine there will be some on here who have more experience in doing what you are after doing.
