What if his TV has built in freesat and freeview - he has each cable plugged into the TV and no STB in the equation? :)
Which one is likely to draw more power? :)
Man that's fekking expensive 🤣🤣🤣🤣Looking at previous posts, OP is connecting his PC to the LG.
I would stop doing that and stream from the phone instead.
Fyi, looks like you have a gigablue ue 4k. Max power consumption on that is 60W. Assuming a super duper high electricity price of 50p/kwh, it would cost 3p per hour to run at max power usage.
My guess is power consumption is probably around 20W for normal usage (non-recording to a hard drive) and an electricity cost of say 30p/kwh. Thus, hourly running costs are 0.6p

ThanksWell what a question.
If your watching Freeview and your TV can view it then use that and leave your sat box turned of.
Savings wont be much but it all adds up.
You have the right idea, but you probably have other things in your home that are consuming significantly more powerThanks
I try to use less power through the house, Electric items not used are unplugged. All doors closed. Radiators set come on and turn off. Starting to panic with price increase. You have the right idea, but you probably have other things in your home that are consuming significantly more power
