If having problems with your box, here is the official un-patched FTA original firmware to load with RS232 Null-Modem cable

Updating with original FTA firmware then updating to a pached 2011 firmware, then updating to latest firmware through box online should resolve invalid mac error and if getting display stuck on 0000

The "invalid mac"appears to come with two different problems,one that can be fixed with FTA then updating to the latest firmware,the other has to be sent back to the supplier

yes ,meaning kv 780 only and then do a s/w update online to get the latest.
