I still have an excellent CS service even without the 'missing channels' but like many people I thought I would give IPTV a go to fill in for the gaps and enjoy VOD. Anyway I got it on my app on the Samsung Smart TV. Initially I thought it was marvelous as I went through all the hundreds of channels, sport from all over the world, more box sets than you can watch in a lifetime and full Sly & TB in HD. As I say thought I was going to declare the CS box redundant, however I started to have my doubts with the Joshua fight, there were a number of links on the IPTV but all were buffering every minute or so. I ended up watching it on facebook! For the first couple of weeks all the links or at least 90% were working fine, hardly ever any buffering (I am talking mainly about football channels). The number of links that show stream error has increased dramatically recently together with more buffering to the working links on sport. The final straw was with the tennis from Madrid (wife is a big fan) her indoors would not watch it on IPTV as although it didnt buffer too often there was quite often a shadow in the players movement and it was difficult to follow the flight of the ball. Wherever possible for sport we are once again using the CS as the main source for channels and the IPTV as a poor second choice. We just find the sport so much better on CS even if it is in SD. I am just wondering if its the settings on the TV? or would it be improved on a box? I have fast fibre connection hard wired. Could it be my sub provider for IPTV has increased his customer base too much? or is it a combination of things? In support of the IPTV, if for a moment you forget sport and talk about everything else including VOD it is very good, hardly every any buffering but its the sport which is my main interest.
