IPTV advice and guidance request

Hi all,

I am thinking about switching from my h2h setup to IPTV, as for the stb i kinda like the look of the formuler z7+.

I am looking for some guidance on the different types of packages that are available to request? And i am not sure if i would need to request a vpn or not with me being with virmin?

Also i noticed alot of people mentioning 3pm kick offs in there requests, isnt there an option to have the sports channels on all the time?

Is there anyone on virmin with iptv using a formuler z7+ or similar that could give me some advice on this as well as tell me anything else i need to know as this would be my first time setting IPTV up?

Cheers.

Just ask for a IPTV provider to your requirements to the designated place. You will find your perfect provider.

I have both VM sub & an IPTV sub on the same box.... I use the VM sub 95% of the time & would NOT move away from a VM sub through choice..!
The IPTV sub is only used as a backup so not used much, you get the usual sports channels as standard with IPTV along with several extra sports & other content thats not available on VM, the 3pm kickoff's are only available on an IPTV sub providing access to the extra 8 or so games that are not normally shown live but highlights are shown on match of the day.

Your H2H can run IPTV subscription so you dont need to change your box unless you want something with better specs.
You may or may not need a VPN to get round the EPL blocks depending on your IPTV provider.

Hi,

I have both a formuler z7+ box and am on VM for internet. Some providers are affected by the premier league /champions league block when the games are on which would require a vpn to watch the channels at these times and some are not currently blocked so you would not need a vpn.

Forumler box is hands down the best box I've used for iptv works similar to a mag box but looks better and because it's android if you did need a vpn it's quite easy to setup.

Best thing is when you have your box and are ready to try iptv ask in the relevant thread for some trials stating what you are looking for in a sub and then test a few and if you find one you are happy with go for that but to start off I'd say go month by month or 3 months max

I have a few receivers but the one I was talking about is an Edision OS Nini (sat/cable combo box) with an added IPTV sub so it has sat for fta, VM sub for main viewing & then an IPTV sub for the extra viewing not available on VM & as a backup should VM go down or have issues.

Thanks everyone, by the looks of things im probably better off keeping the vm sub (needs extending by next month) and getting the z7+ on the side. The reason i was thinking of switching from vm sub to iptv is solely on the loss off the hd sport channels, dont really have any idea on how long is left for the rest of the channels to start going off so i thought the move over to iptv would of been a wise choice?

I have both vm sub and iptv on my h2 box the hd content is nowhere near as clear as cable
Its good better than sky sports in sd
