IPTV Request Thread January 2020

Request a trial in here listing the devices you just have. Iptv providers will tell you which of your devices they support and you can check out the quality, stability, suitability for your needs.

Tbh in my experience iptv is something you've to jump into and learn about as you go along rather than people giving you a guide.

For what it is worth having had and now discarded quite a few android boxes the most recent being a H96 Max, also a 256 Magbox I am currently using a 2nd generation firestick, a 4k firestick, and the Stb app on a Samsung Tv. When the sub on the Samsung runs out I am not renewing as the Firesticks for the price are so good, plus I have a VPN which I can install on any number of devices but not on the Tv. I am sure if you have unlimited funds some one will recommend a more sophisticated piece of kit but like most I want the best I can afford!
Despite my opinion or anyone elses the hardware is only part of the story, you have to have the right connection, a lot of patience and all your fingers crossed not to mention a good sub!

keep Virmin broadband if at all possible & use your VU+zero (VIX or ATV as base firmware) so you can have the skins to replicate the look/feel of the big boys, use an IPTV multi-room sub & you can use on 2 devices, find a decent provider & you should be sorted or better still a very good provider & you wont need to use a VPN

Yes 100% agree with you regarding quality of supplier but I just feel if you are behind a vpn regardless of whether or not you can watch the streams with or without it, better you are hidden or in hiding than in the 'open'. I don't know enough on the subject other than to say, 'if you hide behind the hedge you are less likely to be caught in the headlights'

Depends if the hedge is low and how bright the lights are pmsl but using a vpn will hide you but then some some servers don't like the use of vpn and in most cases now everyone is covered from server side hence no blocks with football even when the big six + are blocking never used a vpn and I'm probably with worst isp for blocking content ect sly and plus vpn will, slow your speeds down which make iptv viewing unwatchable as speeds have dropped that low

Stick with the vu+ zero box you can't beat the look and feel of a enigma 2 when it comes to IPTV viewing the nearest thing you will get to premium subscription from one of the big 2 when setup correctly. You can also keep the cable side on for the remaining channels as well that way.

Take plenty trials from various providers, a good provider will give you all the advice and help you need. It’s also worth having 2 subs running, iptv not quite as reliable as a sat/cable sub.

The reliability depends on the provider and that is why I also I think the vu+ is the better option as the op can have a cable line running alongside IPTV.

Not sure I would put money out on a cable sub to be honest.
Depending on set up but he should be able to use the VU and android box with the same sub

I bow to your far greater knowledge on the subject and know your advice will be accurate, just I was always told to use PROTECTION!

Wish I would have 5 kids later lmfao

@macmain if your happy with the service you receive from your Firestick provider contact them & tell them that you want the sub on two devices... VU+zero which is an 'Enigma2 device' & your 'android' firestick, Your provider should then give sub details for Enigma2 & suggest the best method for install (some providers have their own app).
Any issues you then run into will have been covered on this forum: adding a VPN to Enigma2, router setting adjustments, own image guides, required & best plugins, uploaded/downloadable image installs & so on.
One thing to consider is that IF your provider has any downtime both devices will stop until they rectify the issue so it is common to have a second provider as a backup.
Thats if provider supports multiroom subs

many do & are multiroom by default so it's worth asking his current provider 1st
Was just pointing out some providers are tight and only do single subs for more ££ mine allows 4 connections on 1 sub so get what your saying

Why would want to put all your eggs in one basket? A cable sub might not have the channel selection of IPTV but if you have a box that can handle it why not have it running both only costs peanuts every month.

Op states he’s switching to iptv due to channels going dark on cable. I can only assume he would like to view the channels that are no longer available hence the switch over to iptv.
If he was happy with just a cable sub we wouldnt be having this conversation. This is why I said I wouldn’t pay out money on a new cable sub...that money would be better spent towards an iptv sub surely

What I was getting at was if he has the means keep the cable sub as well and get the iptv as you said yourself iptv is not always reliable and it ain't fun starting at black square if their chosen supplier is having problems. Been there done that.

Point taken...but surely it would depend on what purpose the cable sub is used for/what channels he views? As he has mentioned he is switching over as channels have recently went dark...no point in purchasing a cable sub if the desired channels are no longer available?

Tbh some people won't like running cable and iptv side by side as too many bouquets for some people but there is good points from all members some prefer the 1 minute delay in emmerdale some don't lol but then with sports going from cable people think it's end of world and cable is no good tbh I use remaining sat channels sly q and iptv

Run both for peanuts! No point using Ipeetv if you can have the real deal!
In my eyes anyway lol
Cable far from the real deal now, I know there’s still plenty channels available but if the sub is used for sports then cable is pretty useless. And how long before other channels go dark?
