What is the best app for IPTV on the fire stick? i have used IPTVsmarters but i must say I'm not that impressed with, i just wondered if there is anything better out there?

Xciptv or Duplex Iptv but there site is down for server work at the moment

There are many out there depending on what u need. Some apps have multi screen others like STB emu emulate a mag box.
Xciptv is also a good one.

Your choice of app my depend on what your provider supports. If you have an m3u line or your username, password and correct DNS then you can use most apps.

LTQ is a favourite at the moment but I’d say Smarters and STB emu are a bit smoother.

Going by information from my provider there is a growing trend due to being closed down they are no longer giving out Url's but relying on there own version player which needs username and password,which is a pain as I have found Tivimate to be better than most if just for the ability to hide groups and channels that aren't of interest..

Really depends on your provider who can give u only the countries u need and hide the rest.
As for m3u lines yes all providers tend to hide them and only give username and password but that will not stop the ones who still know who to get to the URL even if hidden

You can hide group on Smarters via settings > parental control

I'm Running with tivimate now,but my provider is about to make URL input a no-no so will have to go back to there Crap player format
