iptv freezing and stuttering badly

can anyone help , I have iptv on a zgemma h2s. all the channels eventually lock up some times permanently and sometimes for a few seconds . also they stutter a lot .
every now and then I manage to watch a whole footie match without issue !
but most of the time it is non watchable .
I have wooshbuild 7 installed
I have 50mb fibre and a digibit vpn
it would be good to get to the bottom of this as its driving me mental !!

If stuttering and glitching could be down to server overload or just a bad provider I would try and find a more decent provider as for a vpn that could throttle your broadband speeds and only mainly used when football is getting blocked

Who's your ISP? The same happens to me at times, my provider sent me a link that tests my Internet speed and the reason it happens is that my Internet speed is going up and down massively in short spaces of time

https://www.battleforthenet.com/internethealthtest/

Try that link next time it's doing it... mine goes from 55mbps to 1mbps and everywhere in between in a short space of time.

I am with plusnet .
when I stream stuff on the iptv app that comes with wooshbuild it never stutters and plays fine.
could anyone recommend a new provider that definitely has no issues?
am I correct in assuming most people don't have any issues with iptv ?

i`ve also been wondering this, i`m with talktalk and avg between 30-38Mbps...rarely if ever below 30Mbps and i`m always checking it thinking it could be having mini but considerable drops in speed, i feel a bit ocd with it at times, i tried the link pupuqiop put up and that`s giving the same good/consistent results.
with iptv from provider it can be glitchy and freeze, i can find myself having to change channel and back again which can sort it or sometimes it freezes and i can`t get it back with channel change for longer periods or it go`s all together, i have a problem with audio/video going out of sync too more often than i`d like (not sure what that suggests),
as for the iptv player for movies etc i`m usually alright for up to 720p content but often 1080p or whatever can be glitchy and obviously annoying, (sometimes pausing it for a bit gives me a bit of a smooth run) but whenever i`m checking internet speed (on 3 different apps) it always looks good and consistent with no drops here too.....would of thought speeds of even 5-10Mbps were enough for 1080 content.

the glitching/lag will be from your'e provider or as already mentioned server overload he may be a reseller you never know, try and find a good provider the one i have has very minimal lag once every now and then but not any is gonna be lag free as its streaming so its expected at some point.

Sounds like provider issues resellers just tell you what they want and could be completely wrong iptv does glitch or freeze and be out of sync from time to time I'm on 5mbps broadband and handles sd channels reasonably well even my iptv on zgemma can watch movies glitch free as been stated get a few tests from different providers to actually rule out your broadband speeds

hmm maybe worth trying someone else,
I've actually been with this provider for about 6 months or more before the channels went dark and had to switch to iptv and had no probs then, they've always been good with replys to msg's etc, i've had previous providers disapear and lost out so a bit reluctent to risk moving too.

Thanks for the feedback. Bit of an update ...
I changed the server i was using in the digibit vpn settings and now all os well...well at least 99% better .
Managed to watch several channels for a couple of hours glitche free
I am pretty new to this , so dont quite understand how it all works.
But thanks for your help guys.

Been suffering the same issues. Anyone got any recommended suppliers as u don' wanna go down same route again. I've' got 3 boxes at 3 different locations on different internet providers and all 3 boxes suffer same issues

Check the version number of the plugin, it should be version 6. Your provider should be able to provide an update if you are not on version 6.
The plugin early versions did have a few issues and buffering and frame rate was one of them. Version 6 Xtream Codes plugin works well.
Failing that perhaps get a test from a different provider to eliminate the problem

VPN's are often the cause of stuttering and freezing etc. I discovered this recently myself. I just stopped using my vpn and now everything works 99,9% perfectly!! Yeah I'm now visible....but I figure i'm just a tiny fish I a massive big pond lol.
