IPTV on android v Plex

I am looking at getting a new box. I have narrowed it down to getting an android box with a paid IPTV sub or getting a Plex box with IPTV. Just wondering what is the better option?! I know android will allow more apps be added (well I think) but in terms of quality which would people reccomended. It's mainly for football that I'm looking for so can get rid of sky. Only have cable tv so satalite box is not an option at the moment.

If you're willing to splash a little cash, nvidia shield is the best there is in terms of android or you can get a m8s or mojo which is on the cheaper end of the scale but is sufficient enough for kodi.
I wouldn't go for a fire stick for streaming live but I heard good things about Amazon fire TV but I haven't tried this.
Either way you want a minimum of 2gb of ram and the latest android firmware IMO.

Thanks for the advice. Main query is which is the more stable option for IPTV, is it a Plex box or android with IPTV sub or does it just depend on the quality of the IPTV provider.

I haven't used plex as much as kodi so my opinion may be a bit biased, but i preferred using the big variety of kodi add-ons rather than plex.
What i found was using a reliable quality iptv provider (e.g myself ;) along with tv-show and movie add-ons did make the difference for me in the end.
Also using Spmc and kodi to have 2 different builds on 1 box to suit different needs of the house was a great bonus.

If you want reliable coverage of the footy, Inc. 3pm's then I'd recommend an IPTV sub, but you can't guarantee the quality of the feed - even a HD sub can look less than desirable for big screen viewing - still better than most website streams.

As for android boxes, nvidia shield is the way to go - most powerful of the lot, but you may run into problems (as I did) setting up iptv on kodi - patients and potential rooting required!

hi can someone please advise me, im looking for a good IPTV box but can also have showbox or install android apps on it. please advise

I second that Nvidia Shield, or Firestick with IPTV app works good, however if your wifi isnt up to scratch, go Nvidia Shield, powerfull and wired connection, plus choice of other apps.

amazon fire TV box for me none other than the price but i am tight and from what i have heard NVidia runs rings round fire tv box but more than twice the price but fire tv box works great for what i need in streaming footy and movies on kodi
