Evening all,

Is anyone else having issues with IPTVPlayer hanging with Vix logo spinning?
This is my conguration:
Receiver: Xtrend 8500 running openvix 4.2.20
iptv player version (latest) 140.00.02.00

i have tried yify and vumoo and both hang when selecting any movie.

I have to reset my box switching off and on at the box.

Can someone please try who have the same set as listed above?
My iptv player source is version 137 that i always use and copy IPTVPlayer folder and copy to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions which when run eventually prompts for latest version

It can be a little buggy now and again.
I do the same as you and it doesn't always work I end uninstalling it and starting again (I know it's pain, you probably have removed all the crap)
See how it is tomorrow on the next update before you take any action ;-)
 
weird but other boxes are working fine eg zgemma. confused???
gone back to prev and still same.
Version 140.00.03.00 released and still the same hanging ...
wonder if its a Vix problem??

Unfortunately, I do not know how to solve this problem but I can confirm that I have the same problem with my ET8500 with identical settings.
When I choose a film that shows loading and spinning vix logo.
The only thing I can do is reset the device by switch.
 
Just came across this problem,
Tried uninstalling it, different versions and it always hangs at the same bit - loading a stream/movie
doesn't even crash just hangs and the spinner appears
Can't pinpoint it
 
Vix won't support it so they'll always be issues on vix they'll have changed something that samsam needs to fix report it to gitlab
 
just flashed vix on the second boot, iptv player works fine on vix 4.2.023, must of balls something up on the other image
 
It works fine on openvix EXCEPT on xtrend 8500 boxes after version 4.2.18
The only way I have got it to work on xtrend 8500 is going way back to vix 4.1.16.
On other forum it said it was down to ffmpeg file but it doesn't make sense if as I have previously said it works on other boxes running openvix .
As I type this I am running openvix 4.2.20 on a mutant hd1500 and successfully launched The Accountant movie from Vumoo.

I can confirm that IPTV works perfectly on the VIX 4.2.26 on ET8500, and you can install it directly from the plugin.
