IPTV starter advice?

Howdy

Is there a starter guild for IPTV noobs?

I have a Technomate 3t box with OpenVIX for SKY SD channels, it would be nice to get the HD channels which I know is only available through IPTV.
(I also have the option to use a decent HTPC in place of the box if necessary)

Can I keep the box for FTA and get IPTV on a plugin?
The IPTV service, I'm assuming paid is reliable over free ones?

Not sure what else I should ask but if there's any guides or sites I can read anyone can direct me to.

Yes mate you can keep the box as FTA and add a pluggin by boom to add your iptv subscription to your bouquets.
Then depending on server you will receive the sky UK package in HD.
USA channels
Canada
Video on demand ( 100s of movies TV shows etc)

My advice if wanting iptv get a mag box for £60 odd and it runs perfect.
 
Sounds good so far!
I install the IPTVplayer plugin last night but that's as far I had chance to do.

So when adding the IPTV to the bouquets will it list channels like it does now?
It'd be handy for the little'n and the Mrs.

Any such thing as a test server like people do with TV lines?

The Iptv pluggin is just a pluggin for movies and odd TV show you won't get the channels.
I have the pluggin you need on my laptop if your free tonight I will get you setup.
