Power the router off at the socket.
Wait at least 4 minutes before powering it back on.
Wait until it stops flashing and farting and the connection is stable, then try the vod again

Flicking the power button off then back on isn't effective, it needs a few minutes to register with the isp that it is actually disconnected then a 'new' connection is established

Why don't you use your original router virgin and add powerline adapters if your router is too far

You said you tried your mobile as a hotspot. Did the firestick connect to the mobile hotspot and VOD worked using the xciptv app?

Yes the fire stick connected to the mobile hotspot and VOD worked using the xciptv app

It can only be something to do with your router or isp.
When you connect your vpn do live channels work?
What kind of speeds are you getting on the firestick over WiFi.
I take it you have not connected the Firestick with a Ethernet connection.

When I connect the vpn live channels don’t work any more for the WiFi I’m getting 60mbps or there about I get and says can stream 4k movies what’s the minimum speed I should have

Speed seems fine.
Ask your supplier if VOD is on a separate server and why can’t you use a vpn with your sub.
Seems like VOD is being blocked by isp and a vpn should fix this.
Do you have the same isp before you moved?

VOD maybe on a different server.
Supplier must not allow you to use a vpn with their service.
Take a trial with a different supplier and see if you have the same issue.

Which isp are you on , there is a post on here somewhere about what you have to switch off depending which isp you are with. Do you have any legal services …do they work ..iPlayer Netflix prime .
Is this a new router in this new house ?
Have you asked your provider to reset your connection ? There is something about ip locked that I have heard of but don’t if this is something to do with it.

Is your isp now tv?
Because they actively block vpns and you need to access "broadband buddy" section and add the vpn address to allowed sites

Just to add maybe worth adding enquiring about static ip as some broadband providers you need a static ip maybe an extra charge per month but we'll worth it.
Also changing stream format usually works also from mpgets to hls
