Is there a market for old laptops

I have a number of old laptops XP era some with null modem ports " the good old days " and just gathering dust and wondered if there was a market out there?
I have contacted my local repair lad to see if interested or recycle them.

Car mechanics like the older laptops for there car diagnostic software, try listing on Ebay or Facebook marketplace

There are definitely some niches out there that still need serial ports and driver support for older devices.

If they’re not worth the hassle, then it’s probably best to donate them.

Depending on where you’re based, you could try weeecharity for example. They use old laptops to train unemployed people and people with disabilities to repair and refurbish them.

Another company doing something similar is Restart.
