Is wifi too slow for NFS?

I have 2 zgemma boxes on my network, box 1 has a USB HDD and connected to network by wifi, box 2 is connected via Ethernet and has access to the HDD on box 1 over the network.

Everything works but if I go to file list on box 2 and look at the recordings on the HDD it is very slow to get the list up, deleting recordings etc.

Is this normal or is it down to the wifi, or would using Ethernet on box 1 make any difference?

you better use LAN

sorted, pain in the butt having to run cat cable around the house but much better than using wifi
