It's crazy how hard the official route for sports is

Today was my first match day with an IPTV service. I have been paying around 500-600 CAD for Fubo and DAZN to be able to watch Champions League, Bundesliga, and EPL. I wanted to watch some La Liga too but couldn't afford it. Everything was 1080 and "some" games on Fubo were 4K.

I still have some subscription time left but got frustrated with the poor quality and wanting to watch 4K matches. Tried a service and was able to watch EPL, Bundesliga, and La Liga games in 4K UHD. Unbelievable. It seems that official providers (at least in North America) spend all their budget on just winning the "exclusive" rights for the tournaments and don't care for improving the service or technology because its not like the viewers have any official alternatives.

I am kicking myself now as to why I didn't do this sooner.

You can't compare misappropriated iptv and official sub.
Without official subs theres nothing to restream.

Except this isn’t true in Canada at least. I can’t watch Bundesliga and LaLiga in 4K even with the official sub. Maybe if there was competition between official providers, someone would care about quality and innovation but right now the rights-holder is a monopolist and you have no other option except to be happy with 1080. Again, it’s one thing if they were charging a lot for 4K but the situation is that you just can’t watch in 4K unless you use IPTV (or download the match from torrents or something after the fact).
