Jerrold 550 - Reactivate

Hi All,

A lot of you will think this is a pointless waste of time so you don't need to reply I already know.

I have an old Jerrold 550 (Cable and Wireless) and it's showing converter disconnected. Is there any way to re-activate it? I am fully versed on there being no more analogue signals firing down the copper cables which is good as I'm not in a cable area anymore. Wanted to see if it could be brought back to life (either with special added circuits or perhaps being flashed) so that I could pass modulated signals down it on when I'm thinking about simpler times. Somebody told me that I need to find an Addresser to Address it but I dont think i'll be getting my hands on one of them any time soon.

Any ideas?

Did you ask this on reddit earlier this year?
It's an analogue device, the signals are now digital.
If that wasn't a large enough hurdle, which it is, - you'd be a millionaire if you could find a way around it, - you don't even have cable in your area in order to try it.

You want to use it to "pass modulated signals down it on when I'm thinking about simpler times"
Can you explain what this means?
I assume it's nothing to do with any kind of television picture?
