Kodi 14

Dear tech wizards

I brought a mxbc box a few years ago but could never get it going due to poor internet speeds. I've just moved house though and have high speeds broadband. Now the problem is that things have moved on quite quickly in the interim, my version is 14. something and it now runs on 17.3 according to YouTube and the genesis and exodus apps won't work. I've tried resetting the box but no joy.

Any help would be appreciated

I would start by upgrading the firmware if possible sounds as if the box will be kit kat to run Krypton 17.3 your box needs to be lollipop or above alternative run libreELEC a quick Google will set you on your way.

Cheers Jack,

Sounds like I should be in a sweet shop first!

At the risk of sounding like a total tech bell, how do I even begin to start such sugary madness?!

If you've android box update software for box go on play store and you will get the latest kodi there or you can uninstall kodi 14 off your box go onto kodi website download the latest version there for Android apk download it then download adb link on computer or laptop write down the ip address of your box click new on adb link give your device a name underneath enter the ip address of your box should say connected click on install apk and click on the kodi you downloaded and will say adb running once done a box will pop up saying complete and you will have kodi on your box
