Kodi addon background image help

Hi
Talking about the lbackground image that shows when a particular addon is opened .. For example when scrolling down a list of movies in that addon.
How do you change the image that is shown in the background if the addon doesn't show its own and instead uses the default_bg.jpg which I don't want.
I know some addons have a folder.jpg in the plugin folder and I believe this is what's shown, but some don't show it.
Is this a script issue?
Any help much appreciated.

I meant fanart.jpg in the plugin folder

I use the aeon nox skin
Skin settings_set up aeon nox main menu_ then scroll down to which section you want to change,navigate to background image a select the picture.

You can do loads with it,just have a play around .
I made my own personal build which I saved and put on all my kodi devices.
