Kryptview a780 problem after flasing

HELP!!!!!

I have received my box and connected it to internet and i have flashed it to a 2010 bin file and once it states download is complete it just keeps running through numbers from p001 up to 200+ and continues to do this, if i switch it off at the back and leave it for a bit and switch back on it still runs through numbers, i found a 2009 bin file so i flashed it to that, after the download is complete is switches off then on and sticks at on and doesn't move or anything, so i am unable to get a menu on tv......can someone please tell me where i am going wrong. i have read all the tutorials and followed them but they just say once it says download complete it will reboot and then connect to tv and scan, i can't get that far lol
 
Hi,
As mentioned by tinbasher a continuous number loop can happen if you are trying to load old firmware,try flashing the box again using this Firmware.

old firmware that wont work,always best to state the one you used and as advised above is the current one,any newer ones out you can s/w update with remote.
 
fantastic, it worked once i used the new download, only problem the computer is upstairs so i scanned it on the tv upstairs and took it down to main telly and plugged it in and the homeplugs were in too and getn nothing lol....think i should flash it again and scan it downstairs......i was having a blonde moment.

power off at back box router and modem for 30 secs,make sure your lan is connected then power all on you should get a connection.


forgot to say anytime an update is done do a factory default/reset and a fresh scan.

thanks guys for your help, i managed to get it done though i still have one problem, I am only getting some channels and most of them are the beep and itv i can not get any slysports or discover history or that. when i do the scan it finds them and they are on the list but when i go on them it says scrambled or bad channel......sorry but does anyone know where i am going wrong.
 
If you have flashed the box correctly and are not getting any premium channels to display at all. and getting "scrambled or no video" on the screen. That would suggest to me that the box is not receiving a live internet connection. Check the ethernet lead is plugged in the Kryptview snug. One way to check if the box is recognising the internet connection is to go to MENU-INSTALLATION-OK-0000-S/W UPDATE-OK. If the box either "updates" or says "already updated", then it can see the internet connection, If it just stays on searching for update, then it is not seeing a internet connection.

jodav ur a star, i thought that was the problem but i have the homeplugs as the computer is upstairs and the box is for the tv downstairs. i will need to try move comp downstairs as looks as if the homeplugs are not working. many thanks.
 
Hi juneyt,

Always glad to help, sounds like your homeplugs may be on different circuit rings all be it a bit unusual. At least you have a work around.

not unusual at all,mine are on different rings,and i had to run a cable to link up 2 rings with another 2 homeplugs.
 
just flashed it but box says "on"

problem solved! had wrong firmware. kudos to techkings!

same thing happened to me, i've been looking everywhere for a firmware file to fix this error, hopefully this will do the trick,

Got a mate who has a computer upstairs an tv downstairs. Used homeplugs too.
It is usual to have two seperate rings one for upstair and one for down, but when I hooked up his box it worked.

Asked a mate who is a spark about this and he says because the rings share
the same supply / board it will carry the signal between both.

Guess reading the earlier posts it is a bit hit or miss. :)
