Got the lexmark X4550 printer/scanner/fax/copier and have had it set up for 5 months or so...and I'm sure when I set it up everything worked. Recently I went to scan a photo and on the display panel it came up with the error "cannot retrieve application list" when I select my pc as the target but my kids lappys work ok when I select them. I went to the lexmark site and downloaded 2 files from the support section dealing with this problem but it did not work. I am using vista home prem. Am on virgin media, cable into modem, cabled from modem to router from router cabled to pc but wireless to printer. Have noticed however if I start imaging studio as I select target computer on display panel, it does download apps list. Someone plz help...just gone bald....!
